For Todd's birthday weekend, we returned to an amazingly cozy cabin on the way to Mount Hood that we stumbled upon via Craigslist last winter. It was a beautiful and relaxing weekend spent reading, doing crossword puzzles, and folding origami animals by a warm wood stove. The view can't get any better.

Todd took our love of tiny houses to extremes.

And, of course, we ate some awesome food, too.

Todd whipped up a great tomato coconut bisque, which we ate along side grilled "cheese" sandwiches. The wood stove also came in handy for making smores.

We had a giant tofu scramble for breakfast on Saturday.

It was hard to leave yesterday. But we savored our toast with orange marmalade, brown rice, and tofu scramble with a cup of coffee and a spectacular view before packing up and heading home to Portland.

I'm already looking forward to our next weekend retreat.
